SoftCorrections with a foal

"I rode Sonne With Soft Corrections"
"...mare immediately responded by not pulling"

"...'Soft Corrections' actually save me time"
"...horse that willingly goes forward"
"...teach you to ride with steady hands"
"Soft Corrections are durable, safe, reliable..."

I got my dog in January 1999 when he was 5 years old. He was not leash-trained, but yard kept. Well, needless to say he pulled me all over the place (80 lbs.), I tried the choker, but hated hearing him almost choke to death. Then I read about snap-backs and thought it sounded much more humane. Well, I have only been using it about 6 days and already Quigley is walking like a champ!!! Thank you for this great item! In no time I'll have him under control and he's enjoying his walks more also....

One of my nursing coworkers said the Snap Back was so great with her dog - such an improvement! She could not walk with her dog before!

... I got the Snap Backs, and traded Kendall for the black one. And I tried it on Michele's grandfather's puppy (litter mate to Dot) and it really works great!

Of course, my little darlings are not a very good example, as they don't pull on their leashes, but it was an amazing deference on Jingles. I'm a believer!!!

Take care,

Bev

"LOVE THE SNAP-BACK! I received my new SNAP-BACK lead attachment in the mail yesterday. I wanted to write to let you know that the product is wonderfully simple, yet so effective. I have a service dog who helps me with mobility, retrieves and carries objects for me, as well as numerous other tasks. I was interested in the SNAP-BACK because, after a recent surgery, I lack the arm strength to give good effective corrections, and trying to do so is exhausting and causes a lot of neck and arm pain. I used the SNAP-BACK yesterday and could not believe the difference. It is such a great tool! I will share my discovery with other service dog users."

"I have found SNAP-BACKS to be one of the best training and correction devices I have seen in a long time."

"I highly recommend the use of SNAP-BACKS to not only reduce pulling, but more importantly to protect the pulling dog's neck and spine. It is a trianing device that is safe, effective, and simple to use. Since I primarily teach puppies under 6 months, it is wonderful to finally have a training device that is totally safe to use on puppies - in fact the use of this device actually protects the puppies from the harmful effects of pulling."

"My husband and I are breeders of Jack Russell Terriers, a breed known for boundless energy and a reputation for being difficult on lead. When we take our dogs for walks, we sometimes feel like they are walking us instead! With SNAP-BACKS we are noticing a difference in the amount of pulling. We really like the way the SNAP-BACKS corrects in a kinder way when using choke and prong collars, and our arms aren't getting the workout they used to! We are also training a young Border Collie with a SNAP-BACKS and it corrects him just enough, without breaking his spirit."

"SNAP-BACKS are delightfully simple and inexpensive "insurance policies" to reduce the risk of neck and spinal injury while walking or training your dog on the leash. I recommend them for at least all dogs who have been treated with my VOM TM technology and for any pet whose owner wishes to avoid seeing me professionally.

In training young dogs, the SNAP-BACKS delivers an effective correction without placing rigid force against the puppy's neck. It offers the new dog trainer the benefit of release of pressure from the dog when responding to a correction delivered with a SNAP-BACKS, a sense of timing the inexperienced dog handler has yet to develop. SNAP-BACKS are a humane device I can suggest to owners who come into the clinic with dogs they have trouble controlling on the leash."

I wanted to tell you my personal experience using the QuickStay Seat Belt Restraint.

On December 30, 1998 my small Blazer¨ was rear-ended by a large 1998 Blazer™ driven by a drunk driver. My 90 lb. German Shepherd "Quest" was traveling with me as he does 80% of the time. The Impact of the crash was enough to pop the rear windows out of my vehicle and shower the back seat with glass.

"Quest" was buckled into the front seat with his QuickStay™, which kept him from flying through the windshield, or into the dash. Either way he would have suffered a lot of injury. I had the QuickStay™ snapped directly to his dog collar and the elastic properties of the QuickStay™ absorbed a great deal of the shock of the crash.

The policeman who arrived on the scene were greatly impressed that I had used a seat belt for my dog and were glad that he fortunately was not hurt. Their comment was that they wished more pet owners would secure their pets in vehicles.

Thank you again for this great product and the safety of my dog. "Quest" will never ride in my car without it.

Sincerely,

Thanks, I needed that!

The Quick Stays are a God-send. I use them for restraining my 2 dogs in the back seat of my car. I couldn't believe how simple it was to use and so practical. I am completely satisfied.

Purchased one Snapback and Quickstay previously. Love them both - need a second Quickstay for our second vehicle. Our dog is gently controlled in the car by it. Thanks, it works great.

We purchased one of your Quick-Stay Pet Seat Belts about a month ago. (ed note: August 2003) Our 3year old Dachshund, whose name is Penni, was always a very nervous car rider. We have just returned from a 3,000 mile car trip and your pet seat belt worked tremendously well. Penni was more calm on this trip than any previous car ride and we felt she was more safe and able to move around. In fact, we were so pleased we purchased another one for our Son's dog.

So far, I lunged her on Monday with them on. There was a vast improvement in her lunging. She always gets the wind beneath her tail and throws her head up with the side reins on With Soft Corrections, she threw her head up and instead of slapping her feet on the ground from the jarring on her mouth, she immediately rounded and went back on the bit.

Well, I rode Sonne with Soft Corrections on Saturday. She was amazing. I generally have little problem with her pulling, but she does tend to hang on her right side. With Soft Corrections she seemed much more even in both hands. I like them, Heather. I will continue to use them.

I have had a wonderful experience using "Soft Corrections. I have a 5-year old mare (warmblood cross) which I purchased in December of 1998. At the time that I purchased her, my mare had not been in training for quite awhile and I could hardly lunge her. She would often pull against the lunge line and I found myself being dangerously close to losing my balance. A friend at my barn suggested that I try one of her "Soft Corrections". I attached it to the lunge line and the mare immediately responded by not pulling. To me, this instantaneous change was just short of miraculous! I was hooked on "Soft Corrections".

When my mare was ready for side reins, I attached the "Soft Corrections" to the side reins with fantastic results. While her collection improved dramatically while lunging, I did not notice a similar improvement while riding her. My friend who had first introduced me to "Soft Corrections" . It was suggested that I attach them to my reins. The results were visible after less than 5 minutes! I now regularly ride with the "Soft Corrections" on my reins, and I lunge with them on my side reins (I even bought a second set so that I wouldn't have to change them). My new mare and I are well on our way to a successful show season, thanks to a little help from "Soft Corrections."

Although I began riding as a child, I have never found a product with as much usefulness and versatility as "Soft Corrections." As the owner of 3 horses, my biggest concerns with new equine products are always the expense and the time associated with the product. "Soft Corrections" are extremely economical as a training aid. Not only are they sold at a low price, but they can be used in so many different ways. I use the "Soft Corrections" on my lunge line, on my side reins, on my reins while riding, and on my lead line. It is like you are getting at least 4 products for the price of one! As an added bonus I have found that the "Soft Corrections" actually save me time at the barn since they are so easy to clip on and off of various tack.

I was first introduced to "Soft Corrections" by Heater Irbinskas after she sold me 2 of the 3 horses which I currently own. Although one of the horses was an older gelding who had reached the upper levels of dressage, the other horse was a younger, and very spirited, gelding. He actually got away from me on several occasions while lunging. After consulting with Heather, she suggested using the "Soft Corrections." I am now able to lunge my wild gelding without a problem. I was so impressed with "Soft Corrections" that I now use them on all of my horses as a training aid.

"Soft Corrections" have provided the missing link in the flow of energy between horse and rider. They have taken the inherent resistance between horse and rider when the rider takes up any amount of rein contact. By using "Soft Corrections" I have learned the benefits of a giving hand that has translated into a horse that willingly goes forward in accepting the bit, a key building block in dressage.

I am a professional trainer specialized in Dressage horses.  I am originally from Holland, where I graduated from The Equestrian Instructor Academy in 1988.  I have spent the last 12 years in the U.S.  I am currently based in Arizona, and work primarily with young horses of different breeds.

I rode several horses with Soft Corrections TM, and had my students ride with them, too.  This turned out to be a true test to check the basics of both horse and rider.  With the connection we were able to establish using Soft Corrections TM, it proved crucial in order to keep the horse coming from your seat and legs into your hands.  of course, this is always the goal, but the difference is that when using Soft Corrections TM, there is definitely "no cheating" with your hands.  Soft Corrections TM will at least help you achieve 2 important things:

1.  it allows you to keep steady and soft hands that will give the horse a trusting place to establish the connection and work over his back in a truly relaxed manner.

2.  It will also teach you to ride with steady hands and start feeling that the driving aids will make the horse's moves from the back into the rider's hands.  This will prevent hard hands and constant pulling.  Because the horse is responding better and softer to the aids, the rider will soon realize that it does not take constant pulling, but driving aids that are collected in the front with a steady and sympathetic hand.

I rarely recommend or endorse specific products.  However, the Soft Corrections TM product in my opinion, is an undisputed and true asset to correct riding.  I therefore, happily render my strongest recommendations this time.  Simultaneously, I wish SnapBacks bountiful success in their endeavors both here and abroad!

If it is as easy on the foal's neck as it is on my arm I know they appreciate it also.  That is where I truly noticed a difference, I did not get my arm jerked as hard or as much, and it softened the neck faster.

I did use it mostly in halter training, but liked the other applications as well.

I will admit I thought they might break under the strain or just give out, but they lasted and just kept giving.  Soft Corrections are durable, safe, reliable, and easier on the stock.

Thank you very much, Heather, for working smarter, not harder.  I will get more when these wear out, but I can tell that will be a while.

Sorry for the delay in my response, but I wanted to give the Snaps a good try, and they never let me down.

Thank  you so much,
